Supercritical Carbon Dioxide (sCO2) cycles can achieve higher efficiency compared to steam-Rankine or Air-Brayton cycles, therefore they are promising for concentrated solar power applications. Although sCO2 show design efficiency, the off-design is highly sensitive ambient conditions, impacting block net-power and heat input. In present work a recompression cycle connected central-tower field with two-tank thermal storage delivering molten chloride salt at 670 °C. The temperature of molten-salt exiting from returning cold tank increases by 46 °C respect value when compressor inlet raised 13 relative condition 42 °C, which implies that capacity reduces 25%. main focus this investigate performance under variable temperature, flow rate. Multi-objective optimisation carried-out in conditions using an in-house code explore optimal operational strategies Pareto fronts were compared. Since either be operated maximum mode mode, study compares these two based on their annual performance. Results indicate factor increased 10.8% operating whilst number start-ups reduced about 50% mode.
